Anaerobic digestion Test - Kinetic Test - BMP 2.0
Anaerobic Biodegradation Kinetics or BMP 2.0
In addition to methanogenic potential, the ITe catalog also includes kinetic tests under anaerobic conditions or BMP 2.0. The result of research carried out at the LBE (INRAE Narbonne), these tests provide a reliable and reproducible way of measuring the rate of anaerobic biodegradation of a substrate.
By measuring the biodegradation kinetics of a substrate, it is possible to provide various information in addition to the methanogenic potential, such as the biogas potential, as well as design or optimization parameters, such as volume load, mass load or hydraulic retention time.
These kinetic data can be used to :
- Predict digester performance as a function of operating parameters (applied load, residence time, etc.)
- Characterize substrates according to their degradation rate
- Optimize co-digestion mixtures, taking into account the specific degradation rates of each substrate
- Test the effectiveness of pretreatments on biodegradation rates
- Precisely measure methanogenic, biogas and sulfurogenic potentials
- Test the compatibility of an inoculum with a substrate or substrate mixture
- Measure the anaerobic activity of an inoculum and test its effectiveness
