Laboratory Anaerobic digestion tests
Bioreactor engineering study
Conduct an anaerobic bioreactor test, to investigate the technological feasibility of your anaerobic digestion project, optimize the performances of your industrial plant or develop an innovative process.
- Test the anaerobic biodegradability of your product (or substrate mix)
- Identify toxicity, inhibition and any possible deficiencies
- Measure process performance: biogas flow rate and quality, sludge production, soda and additive consumption
- Sizing your industrial anaerobic digestion plant based on reliable and representative dataion plant based on reliable and representative data
Laboratory-scale anaerobic digestion test involve various types of pilot bioreactor developed by INRAE
- Dry anaerobic digestion bioreactor (Batch or plug-flow),
- Wet anaerobic digestion bioreactor (Batch or continuous),
- Two-stage methanizers,
- Fluidized-bed, biofilm or granular reactors (UASB)
Laboratory pilot reactors reproduce the operating conditions and behavior of industrial reactors. The results obtained through simulation in laboratory reactors make it possible to draw up representative material and energy balances, identify limitations (deficiencies, toxicity, mixtures, etc.) and propose suitable solutions to define the operating parameters of an industrial digester.
